About The Band

The concept for Block Star was born from the fond recollection of a holiday weekend, hearing a Wisconsin radio station play three songs in a row (aka “Rock Blocks”) from every band they were playing on the airwaves. It was back in the 80’s and the station was leaning toward the slightly heavier stuff at the time, treating its listeners to three-in-a-row from bands like Van Halen, Scorpions, ZZ Top, Def Leppard, the list went on and on. It was truly an auditory delight for any fan of rock music. Hearing those songs being delivered in the Rock Block format was electric!

The members of Block Star have created a live show that captures the intensity of experiencing music in this fashion, paying homage to Classic Rock giants such as ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd & The Police, along with more recent artists such as Foo Fighters, The Killers, Green Day & more!
